Ryan Michael Eiler Obituary, Death; The community of Shakopee is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of 32-year-old Ryan Michael Eiler of Champlin, a respected teacher, track-and-field coach, and Army National Guard member who died Sunday afternoon following a crash in Edina.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Eiler was driving a 2004 Toyota RAV4 northbound on Highway 169 near Highway 62 around 12:40 p.m. when his vehicle veered left and struck a cement median barrier. Emergency responders transported him to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities confirmed that Eiler was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Road conditions were reported to be dry, and officials say alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
