According to the latest press release, the Massachusetts State Police, working alongside the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, has obtained an arrest warrant for 49-year-old Janette MacAusland of Wellesley. She is charged with two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of her children, aged 6 and 7.

Authorities confirmed that MacAusland is currently being held in Vermont. She is expected to appear on Monday in Bennington County Superior Court on a fugitive-from-justice charge as legal proceedings begin to move forward.
Officials say the Massachusetts State Police and the Wellesley Police Department are working closely with the Vermont State Police to arrange her transfer back to Massachusetts, where she will face the murder charges.
