Cody Strong Obituary, Death; A wave of grief has swept through St. Cloud following the tragic death of 22-year-old Cody Strong, who lost his life in a devastating rollover crash Friday afternoon in nearby St. Joseph.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred just after 3:00 p.m. in the 7800 block of Mullen Road. Authorities say a passerby alerted emergency services after discovering a severely damaged vehicle that had overturned, with a person trapped beneath it.

Deputies, along with responders from the St. Joseph Police Department and St. Joseph Fire and Rescue, arrived quickly at the scene. Upon arrival, they confirmed that the driver, identified as Strong, had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Strong was traveling eastbound when he lost control while navigating a curve in the roadway. His vehicle veered off into the south ditch before he reportedly overcorrected, causing it to cross the roadway, enter the north ditch, and roll over.
Officials confirmed that Strong was partially ejected during the crash and became pinned beneath the vehicle, underscoring the severity of the impact.
The tragic loss has left family, friends, and the wider community in mourning, as many struggle to come to terms with the sudden death of a young man described as having a bright future ahead of him.
Authorities say the crash remains under active investigation as they continue working to determine all contributing factors.
