Authorities have identified the victim as Chelsea Miller, who was involved in a serious crash on April 14, 2026, along State Route 173 near mile marker 11 in Perry Township. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m.

Investigators say a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 78-year-old Shirley Rill, crossed left of center and struck Miller’s 2013 Nissan Rogue. The impact of the crash caused severe injuries, and Miller was rushed to the hospital, where she later passed away.
The other driver was also transported to a separate hospital and is reported to have sustained serious injuries. Authorities have not released further updates on her condition.
