According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred as Faulkner was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer southbound on Highway 111 near Sequatchie County when he struck a disabled vehicle stopped in the travel lane. The impact caused severe injuries, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities confirmed that the driver of the disabled vehicle, a 61-year-old man, was not injured in the crash. A preliminary report indicates that Landon Faulkner was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. No charges have been filed as the investigation remains ongoing.
