According to the Alton Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on April 28 along Henry Wilson Highway near Heron Point Road. Investigators say Stacey was driving a 2023 Nissan Altima westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound 2024 Jeep Compass.
