Eleftheria Sotiriou Obituary, Death; It is with deep sorrow that the passing of Eleftheria Sotiriou has been announced, leaving family, friends, and her wider community in mourning. She died peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the age of 81, now reunited with her late husband, Christaki.
Originally from Ayios Amvrosios, Eleftheria was known as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished sister and aunt. Her life was defined by family, compassion, and quiet strength, touching the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her sons Sotiris and Andrew, daughters-in-law Bernadette and Andrey, as well as her beloved grandchildren Andrew, Kristian, Andreas, and Stephanie. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Emilio and Christiano, along with a large circle of extended relatives and close friends who will deeply miss her presence.
A funeral service in her honor will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. at St Katherines Greek Orthodox Church. This will be followed by a burial at New Southgate Cemetery.
Family and friends are also invited to attend the wake at The Greek Cypriot Brotherhood, where loved ones will gather to celebrate her life and share memories.
In honor of Eleftheria’s memory, the family has welcomed donations to Dementia UK, supporting those affected by dementia.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
