Joshua Nathaniel Pagett Obituary, Death; A tragic crash on a quiet rural roadway has claimed the life of Joshua Nathaniel Pagett, 33, of Lynchburg, Ohio, leaving family, friends, and the wider community in mourning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Wilmington Post, the fatal collision occurred around 1:22 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, along Farmers Road near Murphy Road in Washington Township, Clinton County.

Investigators reported that a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, driven by 71-year-old Orlando Beverly of Wilmington, was entering Farmers Road from a private driveway when it failed to yield the right of way. At that moment, Pagett was traveling southeast on a 2003 Yamaha XVS650C motorcycle and collided with the vehicle.
The impact ejected Pagett from the motorcycle, leaving him with critical injuries. Emergency responders, including CareFlight, rushed him to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the minivan sustained only minor injuries and was treated at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Officials also noted that Pagett was not wearing a helmet.
Multiple agencies responded to the incident, including the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Wilmington Fire and EMS, and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office. The crash remains under active investigation, and no charges have been announced at this time.
Farmers Road, a rural two-lane route lined with farmland and private driveways, is known for limited visibility and sudden entry points into traffic. Officials say failure to yield at such intersections continues to be a leading factor in serious crashes across Ohio.
