Brian Lynn Surcey Obituary, Death; The community of Johnson City is mourning the loss of Brian Lynn Surcey, who passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was 26.

Born in Elizabethton, Brian was the son of Angie Mullins, Patsy and Eddie Surcey, and the late Vestal Miller. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Whitney Morris, and his grandfather, Gary Lynn Rice.

Brian is being remembered by family and friends as a young man who enjoyed life’s simple passions. He loved fishing, working on cars, firearms, and especially his Mustang. Those close to him say he most enjoyed spending time with his family, who were a central part of his life.

He is survived by his parents, his brother Tim Surcey, fiancée Audra McLean, grandmother Juanita Rice, aunt and uncle Beth and Ezra Baker, and several cousins.

A funeral service for Brian will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Jonesborough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2:00 p.m. until the start of the service.

Honorary pallbearers include Tim Surcey, Will Norton, Ezra Baker, and Cameron Bowen.

As loved ones gather to say their final goodbyes, Brian is being remembered for his love of family and the memories he leaves behind.
