
Brian Carney Obituary, Death; The Youngstown community is mourning the tragic death of Brian Carney, 64, who was found deceased in Mill Creek Park following an extensive search effort that began last weekend.
According to the Youngstown Police Department, Carney was reported missing after he walked away from his residence on Winona Avenue around 8:45 p.m. last Saturday. A missing adult alert was issued as officers and detectives launched coordinated efforts to locate him.
Authorities said search operations included extensive ground patrols, detective work, and drone-assisted sweeps in and around the 800 block of Winona Drive and surrounding areas. Despite these efforts, Carney was later discovered deceased near East Glacier Drive inside Mill Creek Park.
Police confirmed that no foul play is suspected in his death. The case has since been handed over to the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office for further examination and official determination of cause.
