Residents of Curepe are reeling after a fatal shooting claimed the life of 47-year-old Shawn Lezama outside his Mc Donald Street residence in the early hours of February 11.
Police reports indicate that shortly after 5:30 a.m., Lezama’s common-law wife was startled awake by the sound of repeated gunshots. When she went outside, she found him lying motionless near their home. With the help of a neighbour, she rushed him to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt. Hope, but doctors later confirmed that he had succumbed to his injuries.
