Jonathon D. Daniel Obituary, Death – Tiffin, Ohio – The community of Tiffin, Ohio is mourning the loss of Jonathon D. Daniel, who passed away at his home on Sunday evening, May 10, 2026, at the age of 27.
Born on June 12, 1998, Jonathon was the son of Gene and Vickie Daniel. He is survived by his parents; his paternal grandmother, Donna Daniel; his brother, Nicholas Strojny of Grove Port; sisters Heather Ronshausen of Cambridge, Annette Daniel of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Jill Leising of Milford, Michigan, and Angela Pahl of Forest; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Norman Daniel, and maternal grandparents, Ray and Alice Luhring.
Jonathon was a 2017 graduate of Mohawk High School and later earned an associate degree in Agricultural Mechanics in 2019 from University of Northwestern Ohio.
Family and friends remember Jonathon as someone who loved the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, raising cattle, mushroom hunting, and photographing nature and sunrises. Loved ones described him as polite, respectful, honest, and down-to-earth. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Sadie.
As news of his passing spread, heartfelt condolences and tributes poured in from those whose lives he touched. His death leaves a deep void among family members, friends, classmates, and the wider Tiffin community.
Memorial contributions in Jonathon’s honor may be made to No One Fights Alone, Heartland Hospice, or The James Cancer Center.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Jonathon D. Daniel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
