Her aunt, My Ha, shared that the family received the heartbreaking news from Colorado, describing the loss as unimaginable. Angela was remembered as a passionate adventurer who lived life fully, constantly seeking new experiences and challenges.
Angela was the eldest of four siblings and the daughter of first-generation Australian parents who emigrated from Vietnam to Sydney. She had previously studied architecture but chose to follow her passion for rock climbing, traveling across Australia, Vietnam, and other parts of Southeast Asia to pursue the sport she loved.
In recent months, she had planned a new academic path, intending to return to university to pursue a Doctorate in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney, with hopes of helping injured climbers and athletes in the future.
At the time of the accident, Angela was on a 10-day climbing trip at the popular Organ Pipes climbing area when the tragedy occurred.
She is survived by her parents and three younger siblings, including a brother living with autism. The family is now grieving deeply while also seeking support to repatriate her body from Melbourne to Sydney for funeral and memorial arrangements.
A fundraising effort has been launched to help cover the costs of transportation, burial, and memorial services. Loved ones say any support will help ease the burden during this painful time, as they honor a young woman whose life was defined by passion, courage, and ambition.
Angela Ha will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her love of climbing, and the dreams she carried for helping others in the future.
