According to Greg Shore, emergency crews were dispatched just before 5:30 a.m. to Interstate 85 near the 9-mile marker after reports of a serious collision. First responders arrived to find Bradley critically injured inside the wreckage and immediately began lifesaving efforts at the scene.

Bradley was airlifted to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, where medical teams worked extensively to save her life. Despite those efforts, she later died from multiple traumatic injuries. Officials have ruled her manner of death as accidental.
Preliminary findings from the South Carolina Highway Patrol suggest that the driver of a Ford F-150 may have fallen asleep while traveling along the interstate. The vehicle reportedly drifted off the roadway and collided with a parked 18-wheeler. Bradley was seated in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash.
