Family, friends, and fans gathered in Orlando this past weekend to celebrate the life of Ron Kenoly, who passed away on February 4. The memorial service, held at Judah Church, paid tribute to over four decades of ministry that touched believers in more than 120 countries around the world.

Kenoly was renowned not only for leading worship but also for helping people encounter God in a deeply personal way through music and praise. His songs, grounded in scripture and vibrant expressions of faith, became anthems in churches globally, influencing generations of worshippers.

During the service, Kenoly’s three sons shared heartfelt stories and songs, highlighting his devotion as a father and mentor. They described him as a man committed to teaching his children to give God “all glory, all power, and all honor,” reflecting the spiritual values he lived by.

Renowned gospel artist Micah Stampley remembered Kenoly as both a mentor and father figure, while concert pianist Adlan Cruz recounted traveling to nearly 40 countries with him, describing him as “a true worshipper” whose life extended far beyond the stage. Grammy-winning worship leader Israel Houghton called Kenoly a “North Star” in shaping his own ministry, and fellow worship pioneer Don Moen described him as more than a colleague—he was a brother in ministry.

Global ministry organizer Grace Knodt praised Kenoly as a pioneer who transformed modern worship music, while longtime music director Bruno Miranda emphasized Kenoly’s unwavering commitment to biblical truth through his songs.

According to his son Sam Kenoly, Ron Kenoly remained faithful to his calling until his final moments, spending hours composing and singing new songs of praise before peacefully passing.
