A devastating multi-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 2 in Snohomish County has resulted in three deaths, including that of Dr. James S. Khezri, authorities confirmed Thursday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:17 p.m. and involved three vehicles. Investigators said Dr. Khezri was traveling eastbound in a Ford F-150 when a westbound Ford Fusion crossed into his lane and struck his vehicle head-on. Shortly afterward, a third vehicle—a Honda CR-V—collided with the F-150.
The force of the collision caused two of the vehicles to catch fire, resulting in three fatalities at the scene. Dr. Khezri was among those pronounced dead. Occupants of the Honda CR-V survived the crash but sustained injuries and were transported to Providence Medical Center for medical treatment. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
