
The Sandersville community is reeling after a devastating mobile home fire early Saturday claimed the lives of two young siblings, Maliyah Russell and Christian Jackson, authorities confirmed.
Emergency responders arrived at a residence on Oaks Meadows Circle around 4:30 a.m., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Despite the swift efforts of deputies and firefighters, the children were pronounced dead at the scene. The Georgia Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with the investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
