It is with deep sadness that the family of Elsie Butler Piszczykiewicz (née White) announces her passing. Elsie died peacefully on February 4 at the Cumberland Infirmary. She was 68 years old.
Elsie was a devoted wife to Jan and a loving mother to Nick and Jan. She was a treasured grandmother to Ivy and Honey, and a much-loved mother-in-law to Amy. Her family extended far beyond immediate relatives—she was a caring sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and a loyal friend to many. Elsie’s kindness, warmth, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Those closest to her remember a woman whose compassion and gentle nature brought comfort and joy to countless lives. Her presence enriched family gatherings, friendships, and everyday moments, creating memories that will be held close forever.
A funeral service celebrating Elsie’s life will take place at Arthuret Church on Thursday, February 19, at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering her life.
The family has requested family flowers only. Donations, if desired, may be made in Elsie’s memory and will be shared between Arthuret Church and Leukaemia UK, two causes close to her heart.
