Hamilton County, TX – A Florida resident tragically lost her life in a late-night crash early Saturday morning in Hamilton County. Wendy Ann Lowery, 36, of Panama City Beach, was killed when her vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that Lowery was driving a Lexus ES300 along FM 1241, south of County Road 401, around 12:46 a.m. Authorities said the vehicle drifted out of its lane for reasons that remain under investigation, then ran off the road into a drainage ditch. The car subsequently hit a fence and rolled over, sustaining significant damage.
Emergency crews arriving at the scene found Lowery ejected from the vehicle. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash, working to determine whether speed, fatigue, or other factors played a role.
Family members have been informed of her passing, and friends and the community are mourning the sudden loss of a young woman whose life ended far too soon. Officials have urged drivers to remain vigilant, especially during nighttime hours, to prevent similar accidents in the future.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and authorities hope their findings will shed light on the events that led to this tragic incident.
