Barbara Smith Obituary, Death; A heartbreaking tragedy has left the community of Mount Sterling in mourning following the sudden death of Barbara Smith, who lost her life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash occurred around 11 a.m. along Interstate 64 near mile marker 119 in Bath County. Authorities say Barbara was riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound when it left the roadway and struck a rock embankment.

Despite the swift response from emergency personnel, including Bath County Fire and EMS and the Sheriff’s Department, she was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
