Authorities say officers responded to an emergency call around 7:40 p.m., where they encountered a chaotic and violent scene. A struggle reportedly broke out between the suspect and responding officers, during which MacDonald allegedly threw objects and assaulted one of the officers before being subdued.
Upon entering the hotel room, police discovered Emma MacDonald unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators noted that her injuries were consistent with a severe and prolonged assault, describing the situation as both violent and tragic.
