
A woman has died following a shooting in the parking lot of Wesley Square Apartments on Calhoun, according to local police.
Investigators say the incident began with a physical altercation between two women in the apartment complex parking lot. During the confrontation, one of the women allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the other before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim, later identified as Asia Stewart, was able to drive herself to a nearby hospital despite her injuries. Medical staff attempted life-saving measures, but she was ultimately pronounced dead.
Police say they are currently speaking with a possible witness and believe they have identified the suspect involved. No arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.
