Sheanaka Poindexter Obituary, Death; Authorities in Mobile, Alabama have identified Sheanaka Poindexter, 40, as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend on Vienna Avenue.
According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, to the 5400 block of Vienna Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Poindexter suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators say the incident stemmed from a domestic situation. During the course of the investigation, authorities determined that a man known to Poindexter allegedly forced entry into the home before the shooting occurred.
Police have identified the suspect as Desmond Longmire, 39, also of Mobile. He has been arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and murder. Longmire was taken into custody and booked into Metro Jail, where he is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
The tragic incident has left family, friends, and the local community in mourning, as they come to terms with the sudden loss of Poindexter.
