
Unique White Shooting; Two men were killed Wednesday evening in a shooting following a reported fight in Ashland, Virginia, prompting a multi-agency investigation and the arrest of a suspect on multiple felony charges.
According to the Ashland Police Department, officers and the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 7:16 p.m. on April 15, 2026, to the 100 block of South Hill Carter Parkway after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a shooting.

When authorities arrived, they discovered two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Responding officers alongside Hanover Fire and EMS personnel immediately provided emergency medical care at the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, both victims were pronounced dead on-site.
Following an initial investigation, police arrested Unique White of Bowling Green, Virginia. He has been charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance. Authorities confirmed he was taken into custody without incident and is being held without bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail.
Investigators said the case remains active and ongoing as they continue to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly confrontation. Officials are also reviewing evidence and witness statements gathered at the scene.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation, including the Virginia State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, alongside the Hanover County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
