The search for Alleacya Boulia, a 26-year-old woman who went missing after traveling to Washington state, has ended in tragedy after her body was discovered Friday, February 6, 2026, in the Sol Duc Valley of Olympic National Park, according to family members and community organizers involved in the search efforts.
Boulia had flown from St. Louis Lambert International Airport to Port Angeles, Washington, on Thursday, November 6, with plans to explore Olympic National Park. Family members said she remained in contact during the early part of her trip, with her last known communication occurring on Tuesday, November 18, when she sent her mother a text message and photo reassuring her that she was safe.
Concern grew when Alleacya could no longer be reached. Authorities later located her rental vehicle parked at the Sol Duc Trailhead, with her personal belongings still inside. The discovery prompted an extensive search involving multiple agencies, volunteers, and community members who spent weeks combing the rugged terrain.
On Friday, search and rescue teams located and recovered a body in a remote area of the park, later confirming it was Boulia. The recovery operation involved more than 41 search and rescue personnel and five K9 teams. Family representatives were present during the recovery, and officials confirmed that Alleacya was airlifted from the site to begin the process of returning her home.
Family members expressed deep gratitude to the search crews, volunteers, and supporters who remained committed throughout the difficult weeks. They asked for continued prayers as loved ones, including April and Asanti, mourn the devastating loss.
Community organization VOP News STL also shared condolences, recognizing the profound impact Alleacya Boulia’s passing has had on those who knew her and supported the search.
As her family begins the grieving process, Alleacya is being remembered for her life, her spirit, and the community that came together in hopes of bringing her home.
