
The Saginaw community is grappling with grief following the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Alonzo Nickleberry on the morning of February 16. The incident unfolded around 8:57 a.m. when officers with the Saginaw Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 2000 block of Fairfax Street.
Upon arrival, officers found Nickleberry inside a red vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical aid was immediately administered, but despite those efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
