A fundraising campaign for Robert Davidson, a father from Ayr, has raised nearly £12,000 following his sudden and tragic death while on a family holiday in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, Spain.
The 37-year-old father died after falling from a sixth-floor balcony at the Sandos Griego resort. At the time, his fiancée, Daniella Robb, 27, was asleep with their two children, aged eight and nine, when Robert returned to the hotel room shortly before midnight.
The tragedy comes just hours ahead of the one-year anniversary of the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Hollie, who passed away at seven weeks old due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The family’s grief has been compounded by this unimaginable series of events.
Following the incident, Daniella and her children returned to Scotland last week. She shared her heartbreak, saying, “Now, I just want him home.”
The fundraising initiative has been set up to support Daniella and her children in the wake of this devastating loss, with the local community rallying to provide comfort and assistance during an extremely difficult time.
