
The Virginia Commonwealth University College of Health Professions is deeply saddened by the passing of Mike Kammerman, a treasured colleague and a cornerstone of the College’s simulation education program. Since joining the Department of Nurse Anesthesia in 2009, Mike played a pivotal role in transforming the student learning experience, bringing state-of-the-art simulation technology to classrooms across Virginia and shaping the education of countless future healthcare professionals.
Mike was much more than a skilled educator and innovator. He was a mentor, a friend, and a source of inspiration for colleagues and students alike. Known for his generosity, positivity, and infectious enthusiasm, he fostered a spirit of collaboration and excellence that enriched every corner of the College. His contributions left a lasting mark that will continue to influence the community he loved so dearly.
