His death has left loved ones remembering a man known for his devotion to family, his warm personality, and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
Tommy was widely recognized as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life revolved around caring for the people closest to him. He shared a strong and devoted marriage with his wife, Teresa Nix, and together they built a family centered on love, support, and shared values.

He was also a proud father to his sons, Colby (Alex) Nix and Conner (Cassie) Nix, and took great joy in watching his family grow. Tommy especially cherished his role as a grandfather to Blair, Baylor, Gage, and Porter Nix. Those closest to him say he treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, often sharing laughter, guidance, and lessons about kindness and hard work.
Beyond his immediate family, Tommy maintained close relationships with his brother Timmy (Billie Jean) Nix and his niece Kylee Nix. He was also deeply connected with his extended family, including his brother-in-laws Elton (Margaret) Johnson and Dale Johnson, and sister-in-law Susie Carter. His aunts, Carolyn Baldridge and Becky Nix, also remained an important part of his life.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Dwain and Doris Nix, as well as his brother-in-laws Randell Johnson and David Carter, and his parents-in-law Bankston and Lois Johnson. Their memories remain cherished by the family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, burial will take place at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery
