
Kendra Smith Enid OK Obituary, Death; The community of Enid is mourning the tragic loss of Kendra Diane Livesay Smith, a beloved teacher, mother, and grandmother who passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 52. Her sudden passing has left family members, colleagues, students, and friends grieving the loss of a woman whose compassion and dedication touched countless lives.
Born on October 30, 1973, in Amarillo, Kendra was raised in Guymon and graduated from Guymon High School in 1992. She later pursued higher education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Her academic journey laid the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to teaching and guiding young learners.
Throughout her career, Kendra Diane Livesay Smith served with passion in Enid Public Schools, most recently teaching first grade at Coolidge Elementary School. Known for her patience, creativity, and deep care for her students, she inspired young children to believe in their potential while creating a nurturing environment where learning flourished.
Her dedication to children extended beyond the classroom. Kendra was also involved with Leonardo’s Children’s Museum, where she contributed to after-school programs and summer camps, sharing her enthusiasm for education and discovery with families across the community.
Those who knew her best remember Kendra not only as a talented educator but also as a mentor and friend whose kindness and encouragement made a lasting difference in many lives. Her warm smile and uplifting spirit created strong bonds with students, fellow teachers, and parents alike.
She is survived by her three children — Kale Smith (and wife Chelsi) of Enid, Lane Smith of Oklahoma City, and Emily Smith of Edmond — as well as her cherished granddaughters, Hayden Rae and Hadleigh Jean Smith. She is also survived by her parents, Darrel and Susan Livesay of Guymon, and her sister Kylee Corder and husband Austin of Parker, along with numerous extended family members, friends, and former students.
A Celebration of Life service for Kendra Diane Livesay Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 9, 2026, at Oslo Lutheran Church in Gruver, where loved ones will gather to honor her life and the positive impact she made on the community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leonardo’s Children’s Museum in recognition of Kendra’s lifelong dedication to nurturing children’s curiosity and love for learning.
Though her life ended far too soon, the legacy of Kendra Diane Livesay Smith lives on in the many students she inspired, the family she loved deeply, and the community she helped shape through her kindness and devotion.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
