Dr. Williams was widely recognized as a shining example of HBCU excellence, leadership, and service. During her time at Albany State University, she proudly served as the 72nd Miss ASU for the 2014–2015 academic year, representing the institution with grace, intelligence, and dedication.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. through the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Dr. Williams embraced a lifelong commitment to scholarship, sisterhood, and community service. Her academic journey reflected that dedication, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Albany State University before completing her Doctor of Education at Nova Southeastern University.
Her professional life was devoted to empowering young minds through education and leadership. Dr. Williams became a respected figure within local school systems in Dougherty and Lee counties. Most recently, she served as Assistant Principal at Lee County Primary School, where she was admired by students, parents, and colleagues for her dedication and compassionate leadership.
Those who worked alongside her remember Dr. Williams as a mentor and role model who believed deeply in the potential of every child. Her work in education was driven by a passion to uplift students and inspire them to achieve their goals.
