The Crestwood community is mourning the loss of Molly West (née Kaufman), who passed away today after a courageous battle with cancer. A distinguished honors graduate of Crestwood High School, Molly excelled as an athlete, standing out in both field hockey and soccer, and was cherished as a devoted friend by many.
Friends and family recall Molly’s exceptional warmth and kindness, qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. From their earliest school days through high school, she was a central figure in a tight-knit group whose adventures—from ski trips and dances to cheering one another on at sporting events—created lifelong memories. Molly’s talent on the field earned her all-star recognition in every sport she pursued.
Though life took the group to different colleges, including Molly’s time at Cornell, and eventually into their own families, their bond remained unbreakable. Her parents, George and [Mother’s Name], were fondly regarded by friends as Mr. and Mrs. T.
Molly is survived by her loving husband, Brian, and their son, Logan; her father, George Kaufman; her sisters, Kaete and Gerianne; and her brother, Brian. Her friends and extended community will remember her vibrant spirit, generosity, and the joy she brought to every moment. Molly West’s legacy of kindness and love will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
