The Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) is mourning the passing of Bridget K. Marsh, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, whose remarkable leadership and contributions left a lasting impact on the organization and the broader financial industry. Her passing represents a profound loss for colleagues, peers, and the financial community at large.
Bridget’s distinguished academic and professional journey laid the foundation for her exceptional career. She earned a B.A. from Georgetown University, a law degree from Sydney Law School, and a Master’s from the University of New South Wales. She was a Fellow of both the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation, reflecting her commitment to legal excellence and professional integrity.
During her tenure at the LSTA, Bridget rose from Assistant General Counsel to Executive Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, ultimately shaping the organization’s legal and operational direction. She played a pivotal role in guiding regulatory compliance, establishing industry best practices, and serving on key advisory boards. Bridget also co-chaired the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) Financial Services Affinity Group, fostering mentorship and advancement for women in law and finance.
Her outstanding contributions were recognized widely, including the ABA’s Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award and NAWL’s Outstanding Member Award in 2025. Colleagues remember her for her intelligence, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the profession.
