Mont‑Tremblant, QC – Authorities and the family of Liam Gabriel Toman, 22, continue to appeal for public assistance as they mark more than a year since the young Whitby, Ontario resident disappeared during a ski trip in the Mont‑Tremblant resort area.
Toman was last seen in the early hours of February 2, 2025, leaving a local bar with friends in the ski village. Surveillance footage captured him walking toward his hotel around 3 a.m., but he never arrived, and no confirmed sightings have been reported since. Although his wallet was later discovered near a resort parking lot, his cellphone and other personal items remain missing.
Extensive search efforts led by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) — including air, ground, and water operations shortly after his disappearance — have yet to yield definitive clues about his whereabouts. Investigators continue to treat the case as active, with some circumstances suggesting possible foul play, though no suspects have been publicly identified.
To generate new leads, Quebec provincial police recently established a command post at Mont‑Tremblant, aiming to connect with visitors who were at the resort during the same weekend. Toman’s mother, Kathleen, has been present at the site, urging anyone with information to come forward.
A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for tips leading to Toman’s location, supported by local organizations and anonymous donors working alongside authorities. Members of the public with information are encouraged to contact the Sûreté du Québec at 1‑800‑659‑4264.
Family, friends, and the community continue to campaign for greater awareness of Toman’s disappearance, emphasizing the importance of any information that could help resolve the case. Authorities stress that the investigation remains active, and further updates will be provided as new information emerges.
