Pairc Naomh Eoin C.S.C is heartbroken to announce the passing of Michael “Gaff” Gaffney, a devoted member whose passion and spirit defined the club. Known affectionately as Gaff, he was a lifelong Celtic supporter, traveling tirelessly to matches across Europe and joining countless club trips, always with a smile and unwavering positivity.
Gaff’s presence went far beyond his devotion to the Bhoys. His infectious humour, memorable quips like “disembark” and “3 countries in one day!”, and endless laughter made him a beloved figure among club members. He was a gentleman in every sense—loyal, warm, and inspiring to all who knew him. While the roar of the crowd may feel a little quieter without him, Gaff’s spirit, joy, and dedication will continue to resonate within the club and the wider Celtic community.
