
Authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man Tuesday evening in Uniontown, prompting a multi-agency response and a public safety alert.
The Fayette County Coroner confirmed that Lemaur Thompson Jr. died as a result of gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide. The shooting occurred on Dunlap Street, where police activity drew a heavy presence from local and state law enforcement agencies.
Investigators have named 18-year-old Braedon Dickinson as a person of interest in the case. A BOLO alert has been issued for Dickinson, who officials say should be considered armed and dangerous. The Fayette County District Attorney’s Office has urged residents not to approach him and to immediately contact police if they have any information regarding his whereabouts.
