
DALTON, OH — The Dalton and Paint Township communities are mourning the loss of Ina M. Wengerd, 30, who was killed Friday morning, February 6, 2026, in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 241, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened near milepost 4, north of Mount Eaton. Wengerd was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze southbound when her vehicle lost control while navigating a slight curve and collided with a northbound vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Wengerd did not survive her injuries. The driver of the second vehicle has not been publicly identified.
